Personality:
Sullen is not all that bright usually. He tends to ask rather strange questions and has proven to have a weird sense of humour. Sullen has a large interest in drawing and the arts, often hiding his sketchbooks from even his meister, afraid of expressing his interest regardless how harmless it is. When on his own he can be lightly shy, moreso with adults then people his own age, however. He shows his fair amount of stubbornness especially when asking for help or coming up with a plan is involved.
A night-owl, Sullen is often awake doing things late at night which leaves him very tired all day. He's usually napping when at home or in class, that is if he isn't woken up.
Sullen's marks aren't too perfect, but he does show signs of being an easy-learner. He knows advanced phasmology but never demonstrates it and is a horrid exam taker. However, outside the classroom Sullen shows extreme loyalty to his friends and has. A bit of a major crush on his partner. It's small and innocent for now, but he can't help thinking about Rhett sometimes...
Appearance:
Exhausted, and with a nasty case of resting binch face, Sullen stands at below average height. Along with blue-purple eyes, he dons short and choppy black hair with two small purple hair clips in his bangs. His standard outfit is a hoody, usually with two shades of purple- adorned with Lord Death's symbol and red trousers with small white stripes.
Around his neck he wears a small red bandana that sticks out in the back.
Upon opening his mouth, it's plain to see his teeth are super sharp. Reminiscent of his weapon form surely- along with his unusual eye colour. He often ditches his school uniform and rarely dresses smartly. Comfort > style to Sullen. His smile is shown to me more of a grin, showing his teeth.
Sullen rarely seems awake and sleeps more often then he should due to a sleep disorder that affects him. However, Sullen likes being asleep so he doesn't really care. This for sure contributes to his messy appearance and overly-calm personality. Sullen really only comes alive when he's fighting with Rhett or going somewhere on a mission. In addition, he's horrid at focussing in lectures.

Special Abilities
Full Weapon transformation:
Sullen can take the form of a chain scythe at will. He can only mesh with his meister- as if anyone else tried handling him with a mismatched soul wavelength they would be unable to use him or even touch him. He's a dual bladed chain scythe, with two medium sized blades on each side.
Wavelength control:
Because he's a demon weapon, Sullen is able to control his meisters soul wavelengths, and pass them back more powerful then before.
Partial Weapon transformation:
Along with the above, like every weapon Sullen can make only a part of himself into a weapon (ex. His arm). He does it mainly to show off, as it's very unusual for him to fight solo. (And who knows how that would even turn out for him tbh)
Absorbing souls:
Sullen, like other weapons, is able to power himself up by eating evil human souls. Sullen seems to greatly enjoy swallowing souls, so much so that the sight of a kishin egg soul makes him drool.
Violet Tempest:
When total soul resonance is activated between Sullen and his meister, this powerful skill will become active. The blades of his weapon form become cloaked in a large glowing- almost soul-like light as they prepare to attack. Once they go in for the blow, a large wave of energy is released- traveling until it hits something. An enemy, or even a building, wouldn't stand a chance.
Love for Cranberry Juice
Kind of a pointless ability, but he loves cranberry juice. Especially at 3am.

Phasmology knowledge:
Sullen knows more about this science then he lets on. He usually claims it's "too hard" for someone like him to care... But he cares.
Undying Loyalty:
Sullen takes his position as the weapon seriously and is ready to die for his meister as well as take hits for him. He's sworn to protect Rhett at all costs. Alignment wise, consider him a Chaotic Good.
Stubborn Soul:
Sullen isn't capable of matching wavelengths with many people. Because of this, he had incredible trouble finding a meister. However, it worked out in the end when he met Rhett. His soul succeeds in calming his meister's anxiety episodes.
background
He inherited the Weapon Gene from his father who was also a demon weapon, also a bladed one. Unlike Sullen however, he lacked many of the mutations the gene can cause.
Sullen was born in Toronto, Canada as an only child. He didn't understand his own abilities, struggled to control them, and often was pinned as bullying others or got in trouble simply because he was a scapegoat. Sullen suffered extreme bullying due to his weapon abilities and his unorthodox appearance, it made Sullen start to view himself as worthless and inhuman, and made him begin to hate his weapon blood and wish he was just like the others.
However Sullen's family was loving and would try to help him all they could, but sadly it wasn't enough for the poor boy. While on his way home from school he saw an ad in his train station for a mysterious school in Nevada actively recruiting weapons and meisters to stop the spread of evil. It...was a daunting task. Moving to another country, another timezone, a new setting, and having to stop... literal monsters, but he believed he could be up to the task. He enrolled, and quickly moved to his new home in Death City.
Shortly after, he met his meister Rhett. Since then he's been working on honing his abilities more and hopes to one day become a death scythe to prove everyone wrong who stepped all over him for years. And, to prove to himself he isn't a mess up.
